PARTY AT THE BALLROOM LAST NIGHT
Last night we went to a party at our local senior centre. The second Tuesday of every month they have an evening potluck supper. We usually eat, play bingo, reminisce, and drink a little wine and talk about the good ol' days.
We heard Selma Martin's grandson is staying with her for a few weeks. It's rumoured he got in a scrap over some marijuana with the law out in Vancouver and came to Edmonton to avoid the heat. Anyway, Selma is known for her delicious Brownies and she always bakes up a quadruple batch for each get-together. She makes enough for everyone and some for folks to take one home for later. For some reason they were extra good this week and every last one of them was eaten. Not a one left over. We later found out that Selma's grandson, Butch, laced the brownies with some of his marijuana.
Knowing this, I guess it offers a logical reason for everyone feeling good that night. By the time Zeke put on the bunny hop record, everyone was in a real good mood and it was the first time the whole place got up and danced.......
That is until the cops came to check all the noise complaints.
Well, that's another story.........

The Waiter and the Soup
An old man calls the waiter over to his table.
"What would you like, sir?" asks the waiter.
"Taste the soup," he says.
"Is the soup too cold?" asks the waiter.
"Taste the soup," says the old man.
"Is it too salty?" asks the waiter.
"Taste the soup!" says the old man.
"Is there a fly in it?" asks the waiter.
"Taste the soup!" the old man insists.
The waiter looks down: "There's no spoon!"
"Aha!" exclaims the old man.

CLASS PROJECT GONE WRONG
An children's school class started a class project to make clown flower pots to take home to their parents. They wanted to have a plant that was easy to take care of, so they decided to use cactus plants.
The students were given green-ware flower pots in the shape of clowns which they painted with glaze. The clown pots were professionally fired at aclass outing so they could watch the process. It was great fun!
They planted cactus seeds in the finished planters and they grew nicely, but unfortunately, the children were not allowed to take them home. The cactus plants were removed and small ivy replaced them and the children were then allowedto take them home instead.
The teacher said cactus seemed like a good idea at the time!!!
